Today I am hopping with my Stamping Inkspirations friends and we have a colour challenge on our craft desks today!! The colours are So Saffron, Orchid Oasis, Sweet Sorbet and Shaded Spruce.
Confession time...I do not have a So Saffron ink pad. I know WHAAT!!?? And I Hate (I know strong word) Shaded Spruce. So right off the bat I am breaking the rules; which said to use 3 or 4 of the colours. I made an Orchid Oasis card and a Sweet Sorbet card. I pulled out Petal Park, I Love it and cannot stop using it!!
Cardbase is Basic White 5.5 x 8.5, scored at 4 1/4. The next later is Orchid Oasis 4 1/8 x 5 3/8", I stamped flowers with Orchid Oasis then ran it through the stamp cut and emboss machine using the Stitched with Whimsy die to add the cool stitching detail. The white piece is 2 1/4 x 3 1/2 and I stamped the leaf image directly on it and attached it using dimensionals. I stamped more flowers on the Orchid cardbase and punched out. I layered them to add lots of dimension.
I made a double bow with the Crinkled Seam binding ribbon and tied it with the silver elements trim. I scattered Basic Rhinestones on the flowers and around the sentiment to finish the card.
These cards are the same except I used Sweet Sorbet.
And I made sure to stamp the inside and a matching envelope.
I hope you enjoyed my card and that you will keep hopping to see what the others have made. Who knows maybe they will change my mind about Shaded Spruce LOL!! I'm looking forwrd to see them too!!
Both creations are beautiful.
