Coast to Coast Creators - Celebrate the Season

Hello Friends,

It's the 14th of the month and it's time to Celebrate the Season with the Coast to Coast Creators!!  I recently attended a Winter Retreat where we were to create a Ruth Trice one sheet wonder.  And I was behind in the projects.  So I decided to do a Facebook Live and create the cards for this blog post.  I used the Magical Meadow and Pebbled Path, Lost Lagoon and Berry Burst.  And I did use some Pretty Peacock for some of the stamped die cuts.

I have attached the video here so you can see how I stamped the page then assembled the cards.

Here are the pictures

Here is the stamped page before chopping it up!

I hope you enjoyed my cards and you will give this technique a try!  Please keep hopping to see what the rest of my team mates have made!

Happy Stamping!!

AWOW - Fall

 Hello friends!

Today is another Around the World on a Wednesday and we are playing with the colours of Fall.

Angie has provided us with an Inspiration Picture.  So I went digging for an eiffel tower die cut that a friend sent me a while ago that I hadn't used.  Well I must have used them.. Plan B

Oh and here is the inspiration photo!

I participated in a craft show last weekend.  And while I had lots of cards I wanted to sell a few more things.  So I found this cool luminary on Pinterest made by Emma Fawcett and I had to make one..which turned into several.  She used a sponge dauber to add colour.  I chose to cut them out of Watercolour paper and you guessed it watercolour the trees.   By the way the dies were from the Grassy Grove bundle.

I used Crumb Cake and Early Espresso for the tree trunks and Granny Apple Green, Lost Lagoon and Pretty Peacock for the leaves.  I think they turned out fabulous!!

So for todays Theme I cut one more and used the same Crumb Cake and Early Espresso for the tree trunks and Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry and Cherry Cobbler for a fall look.

I hope you like what I have done and

I hope you keep hopping to see what everyone else has made!!

See you soon!!

Stamping Inkspirations - Sketch Challenge

Hello again!  Twice on the same day!!
Well every once in a while the Team Hop shows up on the same day as the
Stamping Inkspirations Hop.
Most of the time I opt out and only hop with the team.
But it was a sketch this month...and I can't really pass up a chance to play with a sketch!!

I decided to stick with the Fresh as a Daisy dsp since I haven't used it much and thought this paper made my job pretty easy in using the sketch.
I thought it would be fun (since I pretty much stuck with the sketch as it was)
to make 2 cards, one in portrait and one in landscape and change up the sketch that way.

The large white shape made me think of a tag, so that is what I used.
I chose to double up on my sentiments and I stamped on that as well as heat embossing a sentiment on black with white powder.  I wrapped linen thread around the tag and placed my sentiment slightly below the thread.
The tag is Bubble Bath cardstock and my strips of dsp are 3/4" wide.  I added a fourth strip to the landscape card and you will see below I added some to the inside of both cards.

I finished my card with some incolour dots in Moody Mauve.
Please keep hopping and see what everyone else has made.
I'm looking forward to checking them out too!
Happy Stampin'

Team Hop - Fall is in the air

Welcome!! It is Team Hop Day and we are sharing all things Fall & Halloween.
I hadn't played with the Trucking Along Stamp set yet and
thought a fall coloured truck might be fun!!
I also have this package of this Fresh as a Daisy Designer Series Paper
which hasn't gotten much Love.

I stamped the truck in Crushed Curry..I tried the Wild Wheat but I am just not loving that colour as a stamped image.  It is fantastic for watercolouring and blending and
I have even used the cardstock.
But it is a Big No for me when it comes to stamping...

One of the pieces of dsp has this sectioned out piece (below)
that you can cut up for various card fronts.
I chose the one below...Do you notice it is not the same colour?  I took my blending brushed and added some Wild Wheat and Copper Clay to the background to add a fall blush to the background.  This particular piece measured 4 x 5.25 which fit perfectly on the front of my landscape card.

I also cut a banner from the Stylish Shapes dies,
blended the same colours and stamped a sentiment.
Then I tied some linen thread around the middle and finished it with a bow.
Then I added some incolour dots in Wild Wheat and Copper Clay.
Below you can see where I stamped on the inside of my card.
I coloured with stamp 'n write markers as blends will bleed through the back of my card.  If you only have blends then I would stamp and colour on a seperate piece of cardstock and glue it in the card like I usually do for coloured cardstock.

Thanks for stopping by!
And please check out what the rest of the team has made!
If you have any questions, please leave me a comment below.
Happy Stampin'

AWOW - Sketch Challenge

Hello Friends!  Welcome to another trip Around the World on a Wednesday Blog Hop!
It is my Favourite kinda hop because our leader Angie has selected a sketch!!
If you have been following me for a minute you know I LOVE a sketch!!
The threw a twist at us, she gave us 2 sketches and the option to use a bow or not to use a bow...
Any guesses on which one I chose??

Here are the sketch layouts

My fave kinda sketch comes with measurements..
Hint! Hint! Angie!!
But I am not intimidated and figured them out for myself.
I made 2 cards and you know I used ribbon or twine on both!!
I know you all guessed correctly!!

On the Blue card I followed the sketch pretty much to the letter.
The measurements are all below.
I used my FAVE Petal Park Bundle and the Countryside Inn dsp.

I have been playing with the Festive and Fun Stamp set and thought I could go slightly outside the box and use the cute characters with the Merry and Bright dsp.  These measurements are slightly different, but also included at the end.

If you have any questions, please leave me a comment.
I hope you enjoyed my projects and I hope you give this sketch a try!
Please keep hopping to see all my friends around the worlds creations.
I can't wait to see how they have interpreted this sketch!!

Team Hop Day!!

It’s the 14th of the month and time to hop with the team! We are using products from the new Sept-Dec Holiday Mini Catalogue.  This month Stampin' Up! has given us a sketch to play with.

And I played with it a bit on my Facebook Live.  Figuring out the measurements so others could play as well!  I pulled out the stunning Winter Meadow dsp.

I started with a piece of Pretty Peacock 3 1/8 x

Here is a close up..isn't that ribbon gorgeous!!

This photo is a reminder to stamp in the inside of your cards and decorate your envelopes.  I like to do that for all my Christmas cards.  Plus it gives the mail carriers a little boost seeing something pretty instead of bare envelopes!

AWOW-Let’s take a walk

Hello friends!  It’s time for another Around the world on a Wednesday.  Today was a tricky theme for me.  It is about taking a walk.  All I could think of was all the lush green landscape that we are enjoying this summer having had the perfect mix of Sunshine and rain.

I pulled out a new stamp set called Layering Leaves.  I Love the fonts and the sentiments are also pretty great.  And best of all it co-ordinates with a current punch.  Finally!!! Why hadn’t Stampin’ Up! Done this in the past!!! It’s a great way to continue using a fave and it will encourage others to buy it already!! LOL!!

So I stamped some of the images in the background using Pretty Peacock, added some speckles with one of the stamps and some blending.  I then stamped the same leaf with Lost Lagoon and punched them out.  I arranged the leaves how I wanted them.  Went into my stash and pulled out some retired velvet ribbon and adhered the lot with tearin tape being mindful of where my sentiment would go to cover it all up.  It’s not quite a simple card…but it pretty close.  Here is the Stamp set.

I am curious to see everyone’s else’s take on this theme!!

Won’t you join me and hop around and check it out for yourself??

Thanks for stopping by!!
