Colours of Fall - Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop

Welcome!! Annette here for those of you who are new to my blog.  So Excited to be asked by Angie MacKenzie to participate in this blog hop!! Grab your favourite drink..sit back and hop along to see all the Gorgeous Inkspiration we have planned for you!!

Colours of Fall is this month's theme!

For me these colours are Cherry Cobbler, Cajun Craze and Bumblebee.  Ans I have been playing with leaves a lot lately so I pulled out my 'other' favourite Fall stamp set, Celebrate Sunflowers.  And I thought I would try a technique I haven't done before.  It is kind of the scrappy strip technique I first saw Bruno Bertucci demonstrate crossed with the Retiform technique kinda, sort of...and I thought it would be difficult to put into words...so I made a video!! So much easier for both of us!!

So I started by pulling out a 8.5 x 11" sheets of Bumblebee, Cherry Cobbler and Cajun Craze.  I took the large sunflower and stamped it in Bumblebee on Bumblebee etc.

And then I cut strips, then rectangles from that measuring 3.5" x 4.25"
Soft Suede or Early Espresso 3 5/8 x 4.5 (video is wrong)
The cardbase is Very Vanilla Thick measuring 5.5 x 8.5", scored at 4.25".

Watch the video to see how I cut the strips...it mostly an eyeball approach LOL!!
Don't be afraid..you cannot do it wrong!!
If you don't have these colours..use what you have!!

I also stamped, coloured and die cut some of the smaller sunflowers using Stampin' Blends.
I colour one in the video so you can see the colours I used.
Watch the video here

Here is how my cards turned out.  I hope you like it!!

After the video I realized they needed a little something more..so I die cut some of the Sprigs from the Sunflower dies in Vary Vanilla and daubed some bumblebee on them and tucked them in behind the flower.  Finishing with some yellow and orange Artistry bloom sequins.

I hope you enjoyed my cards today and they have inspired you to stamp and create.

If my instructions leave you with a question, please feel free to contact me or leave a comment below.

Please keep hopping along to check out all the Beautiful creations!!

Caseing the Catalogue - #WCMD2021

Hello Friends!! Welcome to my blog!!

Today I was playing around with a Challenge on the World Cardmaking Day Group.  I have the privilege of being invited to be a Guest Designer...doesn't that sound fancy??!! Kind of Exciting!!

The Caseing the Catalogue Challenge sketch looks like this.

Here is what I came up with;

Cardbase; Basic Gray 5 1/2 x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4
First Layer; 4 1/8 x 5 3/8" embossed with the Winter 3D folder
Whimsy & Wonder dsp layer 2 1/2 x 3 3/4"
Basic White; 1 1/4 x 3 7/16" embossed with the Stitched Snowflake Dies
Sentiment is from Merry Snowflakes and is Silver Heat Embossed on Blushing Bride
The snowflakes are Basic Gray and iridescent (see the picture below to see where I found that paper) and also from the Stitched Snowflake dies
Embellishments are Basic Rhinestones and Simply Elegant trim (silver)

And that little tip I promised...
Just make sure if you give this a try you pay a little more attention than I did and flip the  dies over as my attempt did NOT cut the paper since the cutting edges are all facing up!! Honest, this is not my first card..LOL!! but if you can't laugh at yourself...

Happy Stampin!!

Changing of the Seasons - Around the World on Wednesday

Thanks so Much for stopping by!

For those who are here for the first time,

my name is Annette Ball, I am an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator in Canada.  Welcome to

Stampin' with the Bees.

Thanks so much to Angie McKenzie for inviting me to participate in the Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop!!  I was so excited to be asked!!

Today's Theme is Changing of the Seasons

So I thought I would take you thru a walk in my garden....and we will forget about winter for a little bit longer.

The first sign of Spring is the cherry blossom trees that bloom for a few short days.  Shortly after they bloom we either get a lot of wind that blows the flower petal confetti everywhere which is quite pretty or the rain washes the petals away.  Either way those few days of showy blooms are quite spectacular

Forever Blossoms and the Cherry Blossom dies.

The next showy blooms are my hydrangeas.  These bloom most of the Summer.  Mine are mostly pink, but I feed some of them with the dream to get gorgeous hues of purply blue.

When the Hydrangea Haven bundle came out it was a Must have!!

Another favourite in my garden are the daisies. I created white daisies with my stamps, but I have them in many colours. Purple coneflowers, white with a hint of purple, purple and my cute little pink gerber's.

Colour & Contour bundle

And lastly my favourite fall flower of which I have none in the garden are the gorgeous sunflowers.  But it was another Must Have stampset!!

Celebrate Sunflowers and the Sunflowers dies.

I hope you enjoyed the walk thru my gardens and will continue along the hop to see what others have created with this theme.
Everything you see is available at my online store.
Have a Beautiful week!!
