AWOW - Favourite Inspiration

Thanks so Much for stopping by!

For those who are here for the first time,
my name is Annette Ball, I am an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator in Canada.  Welcome to
Stampin' with the Bees.

Thanks so much to Angie McKenzie for inviting me to participate in the Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop!!  I was so excited to be asked!!

Today's Theme is what is my favourite source of inspiration.
I am having a hard time narrowing it down to one...so I thought I would list 3.

1. New Products
2. Pinterest
3. a Card Sketch

Right now with a new catalogue in my hands there are lots of new things to play with. Choosing one of those I then started to look for a sketch that works with  the product.  So I chose the Flowers and Field dsp, FREE with a $60 purchase and a simple sketch.  the center piece is 3 x 4.25" and I have added a layer, sometimes 2 that is 1/8" larger. Some ribbon, a sentiment label and some embellishments.

I hope you enjoyed my cards today and they have inspired you to stamp and create.
If my instructions leave you with a question, please feel free to contact me or leave a comment below.
All these products are available at my online store. Click on the Canadian Flag.
I can only sell to Canadians.

Something New

Welcome!! Annette here for those of you who are new to my blog.  This is a BRAND NEW Group of stampers and an Exciting new Blog Hop Group!!! So Excited to be asked by Angie MacKenzie to participate!! Grab your favourite drink..sit back and hop along to see all the Gorgeous Inkspiration we have planned for you!!

Something New is this month's theme!  Which is both so easy to do because of the Brand New Catalogue that went live on Jan. 5.  But it is also difficult when deciding which new thing to choose!!

One of the first things to catch my eye in the catalogue was the Fine Art Floral Suite and the Gorgeous products included. Stunning dsp, gorgeous acetate, beautiful sparkly ribbon and a Fun new product!!  Ooh and I almost forgot my new favourite Embossing folder!!!

I hope you are not overloaded by all the photo's...but I felt like you needed to see the products!!

I chose a couple pieces of the dsp and some of the acetate and co-ordinating yardstick and a sketch and created 2 Stunning cards if I do say so myself..but honestly these products make it so easy!!
Colours used are Flirty Flamingo and Pretty Peacock.

Pretty Peacock card;

The first layer is the same colour cardstock, dry embossed with the Subtle Embossing folder.  In the center of the card I used a 4 x 3" piece of pool party cardstock.  Then cut a piece of dsp 2 x 3", adhered it to the cardstock, then emboss with the painted texture 3D embossing folder.  I attached it to the first layer and wrapped a ribbon to the entire piece and tie my bow.  I die cut the largest stitched circle out of the specialty acetate.  the flower is stamped out of Poppy Parade then I used Versamark and the heat and stick powder to add gold leaf gilding and tucked it all behind the ribbon.  I cut the leaves off the stem to tuck them around the flower and ribbon for more texture.  then added metallic pearls.

Flamingo card;
The first layer is the same colour cardstock, dry embossed with the Parisan folder.  In the center of the card I used a 4 1/8" x 3 1/8" piece of blushing bride.  Then cut another piece 2 x 3" and emboss with the painted texture 3D embossing folder.  on the right is a 2 x 3" piece of dsp and the co-ordinating Specialty acetate adhered with a piece of tearing tape under the flower.
I used a white 2 1/4" circle.  I used the new blending brushes and swirled some pink in the center.  Then I used Firty Flamingo to stamp the flower, then versa mark and heat and stick powder to add the gold leaf gilding.  the leaves are stamped with Pear Pizzaz and I added a Bow and some metallic pearls to finish.

I hope you enjoyed my cards today and they have inspired you to stamp and create.

Sale - A - Bration is Coming!!!

Welcome, and for those who are here for the first time,
my name is Annette Ball I am an independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator in Canada.  Today I am hopping with my friends on the Stampers Showcase Group.

The Theme this month is Saleabration Pre-order. I thought I would showcase one of the Amazing Freebies you get with purchase. Which is what Saleabration is All about!!
One of my favourites is FREE when you spend $120. You receive the Berry Blessings Stamp Set and the Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper which co-ordinates with the Sweet Strawberry Bundle. In fact all the papers are not in the picture because I punched and fussy cut an entire piece already!! But here is what I still had to photograph.

                           This is the reverse side

I chose a layout I had recently seen Patty Bennett use because I thought it would showcase these papers perfectly!!

The cardbase is 5 1/2” x 8 1/2”
Scored at 2”, 3 1/8”, 5 3/8” and 6 1/2”
The dsp is cut at 1 3/4” x 5 1/4” for the two outer edges and 2” x 5 1/4” for the center
I used the second smallest Stitched so Sweetly dies in Whisper White on all the cards.
The colours are Poppy Parade, Pacific Point, Granny Apple Green and Rich Razzleberry.

I hope you enjoyed my cards.  Everything you see is available at my online store.  Just click on the Canadian Flag to get there.

Kre8tors Holiday Blog Hop

Thanks so Much for stopping by!

Hi my name is Annette Ball, I am an independant Stampin' Up! demonstrator in Canada.  Welcome to
Stampin' with the Bees.

Today I am participating in the Kre8tor's Blog Hop for a special Holiday edition.

I have been making Christmas cards like a crazy person and I am kind of obsessed with the faker shaker cards...
What is a faker shaker card???

it is made using one of our Clear Envelopes. Basically you cut a piece of dsp or cardstock 4 x 5.25". You decorate that piece any way you want and slide it in the envelope. It will be approximately a quarter inch shorter on the side so you will have to fold it over tightly and adhere with tearin tape. Before closing the top you dump in your shaker contents..generally sequins..but you can use punchouts and more. I have stuck with sequins for my cards..I Love their sparkle...and these are the snowflake ones so they kinda go with the Christmas theme.

Now for this card my piece of cardstock is 4.25 x 5.5" which I did not realize until I went to adhere it to the front of my card..which means it is the exact same size as my cardbase..too late to turn back..but it still Looks Great!!  I embossed the piece of Pear Pizzazz with the Evergreen Forest 3D Embossing Folder.  Then I used Old Olive and our new blender brushed to add some dimension.  I placed it in my envelope and folded back one side and secured with tearin tape.  I dumped in a healthy clump of Snowflake Sequins, sealed the top with the adhesive on the envelope pulling it tight so the sequins don't get behind the cardstock.  Then using tearin tape again, I adhered the shaker to the cardbase, which is also Pear Pizzaz.  I used a scalloped rectangle from the Stitched so Sweetly dies and a sentiment from the Tag Buffet Stamp set.  I Love the fonts and images on this Stamp set!! The sentiment is stamped with Pretty Peacock.  I adhered it with Dimensionals and placed a couple of white snowflakes from the So Many Snowflake Dies, a few Adhesive backed snowflakes to the sentiment and tied a double bow with the Old Olive ribbon from the All the Trimmings Combo Pack.  And finally here is the card...

I hope you enjoyed my card as much as I enjoyed making it!! Everything used is available at my online store if you live in Canada, just click on the Canada Flag on your right.

Please keep hopping to see what others have done with this theme

Joy of Sets - Christmas

Thanks so Much for stopping by!

My name is Annette Ball I am an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator in Canada.
Welcome to Stampin' with the Bees.

Today I am participating in the Joy of Sets Blog Hop

and the Theme is Christmas Music.

Total transparency...Annette is Not a fan of Christmas Music...I know!!! Shame on me!!  But it is true....I find them annoying like baby shark and get caught in my brain...I know all the words to many because as a child you had to sing them endlessly in school...now that said...I am however a fan of Frosty and well all cute animated Christmas shows!!
So if I had to pick a song...Frosty the Snowman is my pick...and I have the perfect stamp set to go with it!!
Snowman Season!!
I Loved it the moment I saw it!!
And I am on a Total Faker Shaker card kick...so please forgive me LOL!! But I could not resist!!
If you go back to Dec. 9 you will find detailed instructions, rather than we writing them out for a long post again!!

Now the sentiment is another song title..Let it Snow! I'm sure you have all heard it...well in Canada we don't sing it much..cause we don't really ask for more snow LOL!! Kidding!!
I used the Snowflake Splendor dsp and the So Many Snowflake Dies and the adhesive backed snowflakes.

I really hope you enjoyed my card today!
