Day 4 - A Card a Day in February

Hello!! Welcome!!

Today I want to introduce you to the Floral Art Suite.  Another Favourite and it includes a new 'toy' I am going to call it Gilded Leafing.

There are several ways to adhere the Gilded Leafing.  It sticks to all forms of adhesive.  For this project I used Versamark ink to stamp my flower centers, applied Heat and Stick powder then covered it with the Leafing while it was still warm and sticky. Then brushed away the excess with a toothbrush.  For the black frame I dabbed it in the Versamark pad and followed the same instructions for stamping.

The cardbase is Poppy Parade 5.5 x 8.5", scored at 4.25"
The White layer is 4 x 5.25" and I used our decorative masks, poppy parade ink and our blenging brushed to add an ombre affect to the background.
The black frame was made with the stitched rectangles and I had adhered Gilded Leafing to create a rustic affect.
The flowers are stamped with Tuxedo Memento Black ink, but if I stamped flowers in black again, I would use stazon or use my stamparatus so I could have a deeper black...I also think it was time to reink my memento pad.
I die cut the leaves using the To a Wild Rose dies from gold foil paper then ran them thru the subtle embossing folder for texture.
I thought it needed something and that ribbon would be too much...I actually coloured the fine art ribbon (it is a natural ribbon with some gold thread) with my black blends, but it was too bulky.  So I used my real red blends to colour the white bakers thread and I think it was perfect.  You can see a piece of the fine art ribbon peeking out below my sentiment.  Which was cut with the Fine Art Floral dies as were the actual flowers...I think I forgot to mention that above.
Then I sprinkled a few red rhinestone's for a little bit more bling!!

I hope you enjoyed my card today and I have inspired you to stamp and create.
