Something New

Thanks So Much for stopping by!

Welcome, for those who are here for the first time,
my name is Annette Ball I am an independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator in Canada

I am so thrilled to be a part of the Ink . Stamp . Share Blog Hop! Thanks to Jo Blackman for inviting me to participate.  Isn't she great?  She makes the prettiest cards doesn't she?

Today's Theme is Something New and with a brand new Annual catalogue hot off the presses this was easy and hard...how do I choose??  So I thought, I am going to use ALL new things...
First I started with colour...green is not my go to.  So I thought if I was going to use green, I would pull out a hidden gem from the catalogue Stitched Greenery.  It is a die that is not part of a bundle.  It is SOOO Pretty!!  Here is what I made.

I made a Cardbase from Basic White and Pear Pizzaz.  Then also cut 2 more pieces 4 1/8 x 5 3/8" and ran them thru the Stamp Cut and Emboss Machine to get 2 card fronts with the Stitched Greenery die.
I fussy cut a few leaves from the extra pieces thinking it was a cool way to use those leaves as they are such interesting shapes! I scattered them around my sentiment like Rhinestones for added interest.

I had not inked up the Biggest Wish Stamp set yet and I rarely use Gray Granite. So the big block letters are stamped off once and the cursive hello is the first inking.  I Love how you can layer these sentiments and can't wait to make more!!
Then I took a piece of Gray Granite and embossed it with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder..this is where I cheated, this is a favourite as you know if you have seen many of my cards...and I forgot about the Checks and Dots...next time!!
I also threw in a little more colour on my card with a Highland Heather scallop from the Penned Flower dies...I Love a good scallop!!!

I finished the card with a wee bit of linen thread as it goes really good with the Gray Granite and I didn't't have anything new that I thought would be better.
For the inside of the card I cut a 1" strip from the extra die cut piece.  A nice little surprise for the inside!!

And lastly...because it seemed like a neat idea to jazz up my envelop I used the Stitched Greenery die on the envelope flap...And EEK it looks so Great!!!

I hope you enjoyed my cards today and that you will keep hopping to see everyone else's something new!!

Have a Beautiful Weekend!!

Happy Stampin!!

  5. I would like to thank Ultimate Life Clinic for reversing my father's Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). My father’s ALS condition was fast deteriorating before he started on the ALS Herbal medicine treatment from Ultimate Life Clinic. He was on the treatment for just 6 months and we never thought my father will recover so soon. He has gained some weight in the past months and he is able to walk with no support. You can contact them at their website at www.ultimatelifeclinic.com
