Spring has Sprung - Stamper Showcase Blog Hop

 

Welcome, and for those who are here for the first time, 

my name is Annette Ball I am an independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator in Canada.  Today I am hopping with my friends on the Stampers Showcase Group.

 

The Theme this month is Spring has Sprung...all things spring, flowers, birds, pastel colours..you get the idea.  I actually don't have an Easter stamp per say...but I do have a bunch of flowers Tee Hee...but the Hey Chick Stamp set recently arrived in a brown box and I was itching to make use of it!!  

As I was taking a look and deciding what to make I thought the corn dies kinda looked like tulips.  So I cut out the little dies that looked like tulips in Blushing Bride, Highland Heather and So Saffron and a few cornstalks from Garden Green.  

For my background I used the blending brushes to make a simple Balmy Blue Sky and Granny Apple Green ground...then started gluing on my sign and tulips.  The stems and leaves were made by cutting up the corn stalks.  I hope you think it is super creative and one more way to use this bundle.

For the second card I had seen a chicken 'crowd' card on Pinterest.  It is from Hey Birthday Chick Bundle and I don't have that set...yet...Tee Hee.

So I thought it would be fun to replicate it with the chicken with the wild hair and make it super colourful for Easter.

I used Blends for my colouring; the hair is mostly Dark Blends; Flirty Flamingo, Highland Heather, Mango Melody,  Granny Apple Green, Melon Mango, Light Bermuda Bad and Light Night of Navy.

The bodies are all Light Blends; Flirty Flamingo, Highland Heather, Seaside Spray, Purple Posy, Pool Party, Macron and the yellow was a So Saffron/Mango combo.

The sentiment is on a piece of Flirty Flamingo; heat embossed with white, 3/8's of an inch.  And lastly it is up on dimensional so that I could put a double linen thread bow between two of them.
