Thanks so Much for stopping by!
For those who are stopping for the first time,
my name is Annette Ball, I am an independant Stampin' Up! demonstrator in Canada. Welcome to
Stampin' with the Bees.
Today I am participating in the Kre8tor's Blog Hop
and the Theme is Monochromatic Green.
Green....so not a colour I gravitate to..it usually is a supporting colour to the gorgeous floral stamps that I Love!! But I enjoy a challenge and wanted to try a new technique so her goes!! Please comment and let me know what you think!!

When it comes to Green..Granny Apple is my go to!!
Such a Bright Happy Green!!
For the background I sponged Granny Apple Green on a piece of the Honey Bee Paper with the foil accents. Don't worry if you missed out on this now sold out Saleabration Freebie! There is a new foil paper available and it is gorgeous and you can use the same technique on it!! I am REALLy hoping to see more of this in the Annual catalogue coming out in June!!
The stamps in So Sentimental beg for you to play with colours so I stamped this sentiment in Pear Pizzaz then sponge daubered the centre with Granny Apple Green and the end with Shaded Spruce to do an ombre effect.
Then using the amazing dies that come with this bundle cut out the sentiment and a piece of green vellum from the Floral Essence products to add a cool layer.
I have been crushing on some of the pretty bows I am seeing on Pinterest lately and I spent the day with my "Pinterest obsessed" friend Jen, she spoiled me with a fully prepped day of stamping and didn't she teach me a new bow tieing technique!!
First I stamped some colour on the ribbon..I did not want a solid green. I used the speckle stamp from painted poppies. Then I layered 4 pieces and tied a bow..on about the fourth time I was happy with it LOL!! this bow is not for the faint of heart!! But with lots of patience...totally worth it!!
I hope you enjoyed my card as much as I enjoyed making it!! Everything used is available at my online store if you live in Canada, just click on the Canada Flag on your right.
Please keep hopping to see what others have done with this challenge!!
