Stampers Showcase Blog Hop - "MASCULINE" theme

Thanks so much to Dana Sullivan for inviting me to participate in the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop!!  I was so excited to be asked!!

Welcome, for those who are here for the first time,
my name is Annette Ball I am an independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator in Canada

The Theme this month is Masculine Cards
Something that I get asked for often, they are HARD!!!
So I pulled out Heartland..it says masculine to me and with my Dad's birthday coming up in a couple months I will be ahead of the game if I play with this set.

Today I am featuring the Heartland Stamp set as well as Artisan Textures and the subtle embossing folder.

I started by cutting an 8.5" x 11" piece of cardstock in hald at 5.5" and scoring it at 4.25.  I could not decide which colour I liked best so I used Night of Navy, Basic Black and Smokey Slate.  That card front is stamped in the same colour with the stamp from the Artisan Textures stamp that looks like tiny bubbles.  I used whisper white ink on the black card.

The first layer is the same colour cardstock cut at 4.25" x 3.25" and I ran it thru the Subtle Embossing Folder.
The Whisper White piece is 4" x 3" and I stamped the barn image in the same colour as the cardstock.
I adhered these 2 pieces together using dimensionals on the back of the Whisper White piece then wrapped a double piece of Whisper White Bakers twine and tied it in a bow.  I used a scrap strip of Whisper White for the sentiment 1/2" x 2.5", flagged the end and sponges the edges in the coloured cardstock colour.

I'm curious which colour is your favourite!!
I Hope you enjoy my Man card and continue thru the hop by clicking the next button to check out all the other wonderful cards.  Man cards can be difficult so I am happy to have all this inspiration.
