GDP 198 - Beautiful Friendship

Welcome to my Blog and if you haven't been here before, my name is Annette Ball.  I am happy to share a new card creation with you today.

The Global Design Project this week is a Sketch.... 

which is my FAVOURITE!!

So of course I had to play!!

So I thought I would team it with the Beautiful Friendship stamp set from Stampin' Up!  It is a Gorgeous set that every crafter needs!!

My colour line up is Highland Heather, Flirty Flamingo, Gorgeous Grape and Pear Pizzazz.  I stamped the flowers in an arrangement around the largest rose, using Gorgeous Grape for the centers.  

I used the Detail Bands Dies, these are another MUST HAVE

The die is cut out of Gorgeous Grape and placed over the flowers so that they are still peeking out.  Then I tied a double strand of Linen Thread into a bow.  Then the sentiment was stamped from Gorgeous Grape and cut with the oval die in this set.  I adhered the with dimensionals so that I could fussy cut some of the leaves and tuck them in on each end to truly mimic the sketch.  

You can barely see it but the Flirty Flamingo layer was stamped with Flirty Flamingo using the hydrangea type stamp just because I have a larger reveal of that layer than normal as I cut the Whisper White layer the same width as the die.
