Around the World on Wednesday - The Market / All About Texture

Thanks so Much for stopping by!

For those who are here for the first time,
my name is Annette Ball, I am an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator in Canada.  Welcome to
Stampin' with the Bees.

Thanks so much to Angie McKenzie for inviting me to participate in the Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop!!  I was so excited to be asked!!

Today's Theme is The Market / All About Texture

Texture is not always about crumpling paper or embossing.  One of my Favourite ways to add texture is by layering.

Here in Canada today is Remembrance Day.  A day of Gratitude towards out military and our Veterans for their sacrifices in the past and today for our freedom.

So it only seems right to use the Gorgeous Painted Poppies and Peaceful Moments Stamps and matching dies.  The Poppy Moments dies in particular added so much texture with all the layering you can do.  My card has been done in Real Red as I think it is closest to the poppies we can buy everywhere right now.  I also used the Sheer Real Red Ribbon and the Wonderful Gems for a little sparkle and even more texture!

Here is my card!! Hope you Love it!!

The dsp is Magic in the Night (Halloween)
The Leaves are Garden Green and
I used Wink of Stella on the flower centers

During my Friday Night Live last week I made these other Poppy cards I thought I would also share.

I hope you enjoyed my cards as much as I enjoyed making them!! Everything used is available at my online store if you live in Canada, just click on the Canada Flag on your right.

Please keep hopping to see every one else's beautiful creations!!

Embossing is so Much Fun!!

Welcome, and for those who are here for the first time,
my name is Annette Ball I am an independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator in Canada.  Today I am hopping with my friends on the Stampers Showcase Group.

The Theme this month is Embossing

Well y'all know I am an Embossing Folder Fanatic!!!
Some of my favourites are the Subtle and the new Tasteful Textile and the new Winter Snow Embossing Folder.

Today's card features the Subtle Embossing Folder.  I punched out some flowers with Vellum then embossed them as pictured here

I also embossed a piece of Whisper White, put ink on the embossing folder and ran it thru the Tasteful Textile folder then punched out more flowers.

My card features the Playing with Patterns Designer Series Paper.  The sentiment is from Poppy Moments and as you can see I also embossed the front of my card with the Subtle Embossing folder too

I hope you enjoyed my card.  Everything you see is available at my online store.  Just click on the Canadian Flag to get there.  You do have to live in Canada to shop from me.

Around the World on Wednesday - The World Around Us

Thanks so Much for stopping by!

For those who are here for the first time,
my name is Annette Ball, I am an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator in Canada.  Welcome to
Stampin' with the Bees.

Thanks so much to Angie McKenzie for inviting me to participate in the Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop!!  I was so excited to be asked!!

Today's Theme is The World Around Us

I live in Southern Ontario, and right now we are having the most gorgeous fall weather and the colours are bursting!!

My card is inspired by all the gorgeous colours. I used the Love of Leaves bundle and it is absolutely perfect!!
I die cut a bunch of leaves out of water colour paper, soaked them down with the new wide brush water painter. Then added colour with one of the more traditional water painters. I used Mango Melody, Cajun Craze and Pear Pizzazz. Dabbing on the colour until it was just right and rewetting it as needed. The ink runs and blends better the more water you have. But keep a paper towel nearby just in case. There is also a thing as too much water.

I hope you enjoyed my card as much as I enjoyed making it!! Everything used is available at my online store if you live in Canada, just click on the Canada Flag on your right.

Please keep hopping to see every one else's beautiful creations!!

Joy of Sets - Harvest Time

Thanks so Much for stopping by!

My name is Annette Ball I am an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator in Canada.
Welcome to Stampin' with the Bees.

Today I am participating in the Joy of Sets Blog Hop

and the Theme is called Harvest Time

Poking through my stamp sets I settled on Celebrate sunflowers as the Bundle I wanted to use.  I just cannot get enough of these sunflowers!!
I like to colour them with sponge daubers and Daffodil, Mango Melody, Cajun Craze and a little Espresso for the middle.  The leaves are Old Olive and Cajun Craze too.
I Hope you like my card!!

I die cut the sprigs from Bumble Bee and Cajun Craze cardstock.
The espresso strip across the top is 1 3/4" tall and 4" wide and I embossed it with the textures impression embossing folder.
The crumbcake I stamped the large Sunflowers with Espresso on is 4" x 5 1/4"
and it is hard to see, I mounted it on an Espresso cardbase  5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4"

These photos show the ribbon placement and that one of the sunflowers only has dimensionals on half so I could overlap.. and I put a drop of glue on the other half.  I sponged the edges of the bumblebee wheat.  And lastly I used tear in tape to secure my ribbon.

I really hope you enjoyed my card today!
Everything I used is available at my online store.  If you care Canadian just click on the Canadian flag to get there.

Happy Fall Y'all

Welcome, and for those who are here for the first time,
my name is Annette Ball I am an independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator in Canada.  Today I am hopping with my friends on the Stampers Showcase Group.

The Theme this month is Fall

And what better way to celebrate than with the cute little owls and pumpkins in the Have a Hoot Bundle.  I decorated these little rectangle tins.  Halloween may look a little different this year so I thought I might decorate these and deliver then to a few special kiddo's safe at home!!

I coloured the ribbon with Blends
the leaves with sponge daubers they are from Celebrate Sunflowers
and the pumpkin is water coloured..because wouldn't ya know...I did not have any pumpkin pie blends!! That has since been corrected!!

The belly bands are all embossed too and I just Love all the sweet little tags in the Peek-a-Hoot dies..which are part of the bundle!!

I hope you enjoyed my projects.  Everything you see is available at my online store.  Just click on the Canadian Flag to get there.  You do have to live in Canada to shop from me.
